To provide a method for suppressing the upward blow of oil mist generated during cooling work in quenching and tempering, efficiently treating the oil mist, and efficiently capturing floating mist, in a structure provided with one, two or more carrying fans around a cooling tub for cooling carbon steel, provided with a dust collector on a position facing the carrying fan and provided with an oil storage part side by side with the dust collector.
In the floating mist treatment method, a blower 2 for generating the flow of air is installed to a metal working plant, a plurality of mist capturing machines 6 are installed in the blowing area and/or blown air reaching area of the blower, the flow of the air by the blower is utilized to efficiently capture the floating mist/dust of the plant, the captured floating mist is surely supplied to the plurality of mist capturing machines, almost all the floating mist of the plant 1 is separated into oil and air in the plurality of mist capturing machines, and the oil is reused.
