Title:
FLOATING TERMINAL FOR LOADING/UNLOADING SHIP SUCH AS METHANE TANKER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005030203
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a floating terminal usable even when the state of a sea is worse.

This floating terminal 1 for loading/unloading a ship 9 such as a methane tanker is substantially formed of a floating caisson 3, and comprises a ship mooring means such as hawsers 11a to 11c and underwater skirts such as underwater horizontal skirts 15a and 15b. These underwater skirts damp the vibration of the terminal to reduce a relative movement between the terminal and the ship. The underwater skirts can be formed vertically or diagonally. In addition, a swell damping chamber can also be formed in the terminal.
