Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the mechanical strength of the core of the floating type magnetic head and to reduce the size and weight of the magnetic head while enhancing magnetic efficiency CONSTITUTION:The C core 2 as one magnetic material block of the floating type magnetic head constituted by joining the two magnetic material blocks holding a magnetic gap 4 is so formed that the width size in a track width direction is narrowed gradually from the joint surface 3 to the side opposite from the other magnetic material block 1.
