To provide a flocculant charging apparatus in which a uniform diffusion state of the flocculant can be surely obtained only by opening and closing a charging part of the flocculant, and the flocculant can be appropriately charge by a brief mechanism.
A cylindrical charging part 12 provided at a lower side of a storage part 11 is made to have a larger opening cross-sectional area than that of a lower part opening of the storage part 11, the flocculant is made to hardly reach besides a part right under the lower part opening, a part of a gap part is made to remain in the charging part 12, and thereby at an opening and closing operation of an opening/closing body 14 that opens and closes a lower end opening of the charging part 12, movement of the flocculant and movement of air existing in the gap part of the charging part 12 are caused. When extra air is extruded from a gap between the opening/closing body 14 and the charging part 12 by closure of the opening/closing body 14, the flocculant can be sent outside the charging part 12 with the air, the powder flocculant is diffused in the air widely, the flocculant can be uniformly charge into a liquid of a lower side liquid tank without unevenness, and flocculation of suspended solids in the liquid is urged while suppressing generation of an unmixed-in lump of flour.
