To provide a flocking device easy in maintenance control and capable of drawing a complicated multicolored pattern by combining a tufting machine with a looping machine.

This flocking device is manufactured by disposing a pair of the parallel first rails 15 between a rocking shaft 12 for the needle of a tufting machine and a rocking machine for a looper, loading the first carrier 16 on the first rails to span a pair of the parallel second rails between the pair of the first rails, and subsequently loading a base fabric-spreading frame 19 on the second carrier 18 moving on the second rails to span the base fabric-spreading frame 19 between the pair of the second rails. The base fabric-spreading frame 19 is longitudinally and latitudinally moved along the first rails and the second rails, and a pile yarn is inserted into the base fabric 29 spread on the base fabric-spreading frame to plant the pile. A device for selectively driving the needle is applied to the needle to automatically switch the pile yarn in response to the color of an original picture. A device for selectively forming a loop pile or cut pile is applied to a looper to selectively change the form and length of a flocked pile (loop pile or cut pile) for each stitch cycle, thereby forming a picture drawn on the pile surfaces with various kinds of colors.
