This floor brush 10 for a vacuum cleaner is provided with a floor brush main body 11 extended in right and left and provided with a suction chamber 13 having a suction opening 15 opened to a bottom surface and a dust collecting chamber 19 communicating with the suction chamber 13 through a communication passage 14, a rotary cleaner 16 extended along the suction opening 15 and rotatably fitted to the suction chamber 13, a driving motor (driving means) 18 for driving the rotary cleaner 16 to turn, and a connection pipe 12 fitted to a rear part of the central part in the right and left direction of the floor brush main body 11 and communicating with the dust collecting chamber 19. The suction opening 15, the suction chamber 13, the communication passage 14 and the dust collecting chamber 19 are extended corresponding to the nearly whole length of the rotary cleaner 16 in the axial direction thereof.
