To eliminate the need for change a head band with another tool, such as scrubber, as this head band has sufficient resistance to iterative washing by a chemical detergent and allows the scrubbing of a floor with the polishing surfaces of the head band as they are during the floor cleaning work as an ordinary mop at the time of use.

The mop head 10 has the head band 22 made of a synthetic resin base material. The head band 22 integrally has the four polishing surfaces 40, 42, 44, 46 for polishing the cleaned surface. The polishing surfaces 40, 42, 44, 46 have plural meshes and plural polishing pieces. These polishing pieces are formed by coating the base material of the head band with adhesive materials exclusive of the penetrated meshes. The coating imparts strength, durability and polishing function to the base material. The air permeability to the bundles of the twisted yarn 20 under the head band 22 is assured by the meshes in addition to the polishing function and the formation of mildew is prevented.
