To reduce noise at the time of the rotation of a brush, to prevent a timing belt from coming off from a pulley, and to improve the assemblage characteristics of the brush.
A floor nozzle for a vacuum cleaner is provided with a rotating brush 3 with a spur-geared pulley B2 at its one end, a motor 5 with a spur- geared pulley A4 at its one end to rotate and drive the rotating brush 3, and a timing belt 6 stretched between the pulley B2 and the pulley A4 to transmit the rotation force of the motor 5 to the rotating brush 3. The teeth 7a of the pulleys A4 and B2 are spur gear teeth, and the teeth 7b of the timing belt 6 are helical gear teeth. By this, as a force in a lateral direction (C direction) is exerted on the timing belt 6 and moves it to the side of a flange 2a, the timing belt 6 does not come off from the pulleys B2 and A4. As the spur gear teeth 7b engage, it is possible to reduce noise.
