To enable the user to arrange an optical cable from a plug socket provided in a floor to an apparatus like a communication apparatus such as a PC or the like equipped with an optical cable connection, and to house a floor wiring device in underfloor space by preventing the wire break in the redundant section of an optical fiber being the core of the optical cable.

A floor plug socket 3 attached in an opening 2 made in the floor 1 is provided with an optical plug socket 4 for an optical cable. The floor plug socket 3 is equipped with a reel 8 for winding the redundant section 7 of the optical cable 6 which is wired in the underfloor space 5 under the floor 1 and whose end is connected to the plug socket part 4. The break of the redundant section of the optical fiber is prevented by making the radius of the winding section of the reel not less than the tolerable radius of curvature of the optical fiber being the core of the optical fiber. Hereby this reel 8 provides a floor wiring device which copes with optical wiring.
