PURPOSE: To make a floppy disk receiving case thin to make the same convenient to carry and rearrange, by making the shape of a receiving part same to that of a floppy disk and making the height of the outer peripheral part thereof same to that of the floppy disk and arranging the engaging projection engaging with the recessed part of the front or back surface to the outer peripheral part or bottom surface part of the receiving part.
CONSTITUTION: A floppy disk receiving case main body 1 is formed by connecting two thin cases 2 by a connection part 3 in a revolvable manner and each of receiving parts 4 is formed from an outer peripheral part and a bottom surface 6 to be set to the same shape as a floppy disk and the height of the outer peripheral part 5 is made same to that of the floppy disk. The engaging projections 7, 8 for engaging the floppy disk arranged to both of the bottom surface part 6 and the outer peripheral part 5 are formed so as not to become higher than the outer peripheral part 5 and, when the receiving parts 4 are bent along the connection part 3, they are revolved by 180° to become a box shape. The thin case 2 can be molded from an arbitrary material but, when the bottom part S is made transparent in such a case that each of the cases 2 is molded from plastic, the memo on the front or back surface of the floppy disk can be read from the outside. The projections 7, 8 can be integrally molded along with the thin cases 2 from plastic and the receiving case main body 1 may be constituted of one thin case 2.
