PURPOSE: The titled high-performance apparatus, designed to rotate a roll or a rotating shaft having a card clothing or brush on the peripheral surface in contact with a floss winding apparatus at a lower rotational speed than that of the floss winding apparatus, and capable of improving the efficiency.

CONSTITUTION: A floss eliminating apparatus 7 having a card clothing or brush on the peripheral surface thereof in contact with a floss winding apparatus 1 of a floss removing machine for processing the flosses sticking to cocoons is provided in parallel to the floss winding apparatus 1. The rotational speed of the floss eliminating apparatus 7 is set at a lower value than that of the floss winding apparatus 1, and the flosses wound onto the floss winding apparatus 1 are eliminated by the floss eliminating apparatus 7 to leave the flosses in a thick layer 9 thereof on the floss eliminating apparatus 7.
