Title:
FLOW CELL HOLDER FOR BEAM SCATTERING PHOTOMETER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3163544
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable precise measurement not interfered by noise by adopting a constitution where a beam being scattered by a flow cell progresses in radial directions through a number of star shaped grooves, and never returns to the flow cell again.
CONSTITUTION: A flow cell of rather simple shape such as a cylindrical shape, for example, which does not require an O-ring that is not preferable from a point of heat resistivity, is housed into a housing part 20 of a main body. An incident beam from an incident hole 4 is scattered by the flow cell to various directions. The scattered beam is reflected by side surfaces facing to numerous star shaped grooves 1, and progresses in radial directions thereof, as well. End holes 2 of the numerous star shaped grooves 1 prevent reflection and returning back of the beam which comes through each the star shaped groove 1. The scattered beam which reaches the holes, is measured via observation holes 5, 6 and 7. In this way, the beam scattered by the flow cell, progresses in radial directions through the star shaped grooves 1, and never returns to the flow cell again, and therefore the scattered beam at the flow cell can be measured vary precisely without any interference by noise.
