Title:
FLOW CONTROL VALVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3652970
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the valve driving force of a flow control valve used in a power generating plant.
SOLUTION: A valve element part 12 is vertically movably arranged in a body 40. When a valve stem 41 is pulled up, a valve stem bottom 48 is separated from a pressure balancing hole 45, and the valve element part 12 is also lifted to cause a counter jet 54 of steam from a cage hole 43 to flow into the body. In this state, the characteristic of the counter jet 54 creates high pressure in the center of a valve bottom 52, and the pressure in turn increases the pressure of a valve top 53 via the pressure balancing hole 45, a hollow portion 47 and holes 44, with the result that a valve operation requires large force. A bypass flow flowing from a vertical hole 14 to a horizontal hole 15 in a projecting portion 13 is inventively developed to adjust the pressure transmitted up from the pressure balancing hole 45, so that a pressure rise is suppressed on the valve top 53 and a valve operation is facilitated.
