Title:
FLOW DOWN LIQUID FILM TYPE EVAPORATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6334494
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the evaporating efficiency of an evaporator, by a method wherein linear electrodes are opposed to a vertical heat transfer tube and an insulating spacer, equipped with fluid distributing holes is interposed to generate the thin part of flow-down liquid uniformly on the tube lengthwise.

CONSTITUTION: An annular insulating spacer 2 equipped with liquid distributing holes 4 is fitted to the outer periphery of a vertical heat transfer tube 1 and is fixed to the tube 1 while a multitude of linear electrodes 3, opposing to the heat transfer tube, are penetrated through the spacer 2. When liquid to be evaporated flows down on the surface of the heated heat transfer tube from the upper part thereof, a flow-down liquid film 5 is attracted to the linear electrodes 3. Thin liquid films are generated on that part of the surface of the tube which are not opposed to the electrodes 3, and they become easy to evaporate. The spacer 2, provided at a position whereat the thin liquid film 5 begins to dry, precludes the flow of the liquid film and guides to the liquid distributing holes 4 whereby the liquid flows down again in the form of the thin liquid film with an uniform thickness, therefore, evaporating heat transfer rate may be improved and an evaporating efficiency may be increased.
