The gas meter 1 includes a flow channel 2, a multilayer flow channel part 3 disposed inside the flow channel 2, and a pair of ultrasonic vibrators, detecting the flow velocity of the gas flowing inside the multilayer flow channel part 3. The multilayer flow channel part 3 includes a rectangular pipe-like body part 30 and a partitioning plate 73, partitioning the inside of the body part 30 into two layers 3a, 3b that are symmetric with respect to each other. The pair of ultrasonic vibrators are disposed at the boundary of the two layers 3a, 3b and at respective positions where the two layers 3a, 3b are positioned therebetween. The shape of each ultrasonic vibrator is line-symmetric centered about the boundary of the two layers 3a, 3b.
