Abstract:
Provided are a flow passage switching valve and an assembly method therefor with which assembly precision can be effectively increased. A ball valve (20) of a flow passage switching valve (1) is formed to have a size (H) in a rotation axis (L) direction that is smaller than a size (W) in a direction orthogonal to the rotation axis (L) so that sealing members (31, 31) are in a restored state when the ball valve is in an assembly posture and the sealing members (31, 31) are in a compressed state when the ball valve is in a supporting posture. When assembling the flow passage switching valve (1),seat members (30, 30) and the sealing members (31, 31) are accommodated in a valve chamber (14), and the ball valve (20) is disposed in the assembly posture between the seat members (30, 30). A rod-shaped tool is inserted from a second flow passage (12) of a valve body (10), and a distal end section of the rod-shaped tool is fitted into a recess (27a) of a tool attachment part (27) of the ball valve (20). The rod-shaped tool is rotated to rotate the ball valve (20) from the assembly posture to the supporting posture.
