PURPOSE: To cause a feed amount to rapidly follow variation of a discharge amount and to stabilize the feed amount by a method wherein when a difference between a discharge amount of grains variation of which is set and a present discharge amount exceeds a given value, a feed amount varied and controlled to a predetermined value according to a discharge amount.

CONSTITUTION: A drier 2 comprises grain feeding means 3 and 4, a storing part 2a, a drying part 2b, and a discharge means 2c. A discharge amount per a unit time of the discharge means 2c is set to setting means 14 and 17. An amount of grains stored in the storing part 2a is detected by setting means 9-12. Further, a feed amount of the feeding means 3 and 4 and operation and the stop of the discharge means 2c are respectively controlled by a control means 8 according to a detected storage amount. In this case, when, during variation and setting of a discharge amount of grains, a difference between the varied set discharge amount and a present discharge amount exceeds a given value, a feed amount of grains is varied by the control means 8 to a predetermined value according to a discharge amount.
