To provide a flower vase from which the water does not overflow without using an expensive pump with check valve, and even when the power supply is stopped.

A flower vase body 1 is divided into an upper water reserving part 3 and a lower water reserving part 10 by a partition wall 2. At the wall 2, a cylindrical-shaped packing 20 which penetrates the wall 2 is placed. To the lower side of the packing 20, a vinyl pipe 15 from an underwater pump 11 is connected, and a self-standing pipe 21 which stands vertically is connected to the upper side of the packing 20. The upper opening surface of the pipe 21 is located near the water surface of the upper water reserving part 3. Even when the water 4 from the upper water reserving part 3 flows backwards through the pipe 21 and a pipe 15 when the electric current to the underwater pump 11 is disconnected, the volume of the water 4 that flows backwards is higher than the upper end of the pipe 21, thus, the volume to flow backwards is small, the lower water reserving part 10 never overflows, and the water 4 can be prevented from flowing over.
