PURPOSE: To provide the subject flowerpot designed to gradually feed water reserved inside a support column penetrated through its body to the root of a flowering plant by making use of the capillarity of a water feed members, thus capable of continuously feeding water to the flowering plant for a long period and significantly reducing watering frequency.
CONSTITUTION: A flowerpot body 12 designed to wholly cover itself with a flowering plant planted around is provided with a support column 16 penetrating through its body 12; the support column 16 has been molded in hollow fashion to reserve water inside. Besides, one end of each of water feed members 45 composed of e.g. cotton cloth string is inserted into the support column 16, while the other end is put close to the root of the flowering plant, thereby the water inside the support column 16 is fed bit by bit to the root of the flowering plant owing to the capillarity of the members 45, thus constituting the objective flowering pot. The body 12 can be obtained, for example, by jointing an upper frame 14 to the lower frame 15 followed by penetrating the support column 16 through the respective frames to form monolithic fixed support.
