To solve such a problem that bearing characteristics may be largely varied, when design-based dynamic pressure groove processing is performed while the fine clearance part forming a bearing is not based on design value, caused by variation of the fine clearance part in manufacturing of a shaft and a sleeve of the fluid bearing device.
Before dynamic pressure generating groove processing of the fluid bearing, shape measurement process of a bearing member is performed to acquire a shape of a bearing clearance. At that time, shape deviation from a target in design is calculated, and a dynamic pressure generating groove shape variation is calculated so that the variation in bearing characteristics occurring by the shape deviation is minimized by changing the dynamic pressure generating groove shape. By changing the shape of the dynamic pressure generating groove and performing groove processing, the variation in bearing characteristics caused by shape variation in manufacturing of the sleeve and the shaft is minimized and is stabilized within a tolerance.
