Abstract:
To simultaneously effect drying and pyrolysis of fuel in the same furnace of a fluidized bed type and prevent the calorific value of the pyrolysis gas from being lowered by contamination of the gas with steam.
The partition plate 13 in the furnace widthwise direction is mounted to the top of the furnace 5 and extended downward until it is buried into the fluidized material whereby the furnace chamber is divided into the drying area 9 and the pyrolysis area 10.
