A fluid brake device includes: a housing 110 which forms a fluid chamber 114 therein; magneto-rheological fluid 140 of which magnetic particles 140a are dispersed and which viscously changes in accordance with passing magnetic flux by being filled in the fluid chamber 114; a coil 150 which variably controls the viscosity of the magneto-rheological fluid 140 by generating the passing magnetic flux to the magneto-rheological fluid 140; a brake rotatable body 130 which has a magnetic portion 133 through which the generating magnetic flux of the coil 150 pass and in which braking torque corresponding to the viscosity of the magneto-rheological fluid 140 is inputted during rotation in the circumferential direction by means of contact of the magneto-rheological fluid 140 with the magnetic portion 133; and partition structure 160 which partitions the fluid chamber 114 into an outer peripheral region 117a in which the magnetic portion 133 is exposed and an inner peripheral region 117b of an inner peripheral side rather than the outer peripheral region 117a in the radial direction of the brake rotatable body 130 during the rotation of the brake rotatable body 130.
