Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable to prevent leakage of fluid to a low pressure section, by forming a plurality of labyrinth grooves in the inner surface of a stator drum.

CONSTITUTION: In a fluid compressing and conveying apparatus 1 of this invention, fluid is compressed by supporting one end of each swing blade 10 in a freely rotatable manner by a plurality of blades and interlocking the other end of the swing blade 10 with respective eccentric cam grooves 11. Labyrinth grooves 18 are formed in a stator drum 14 which is held in contact with a rotor drum 7 of the apparatus 1. With such an arrangement, when a high-pressure gas is passed from a narrow clearance to a wide clearance, the energy possesed by the gas passed through the narrow clearance at a high speed is consumed in the wide clearance and the gas pressure is lowered gradually, so that the leakage of gas is prevented. Thus, it is enabled to prevent the leakage of a high-pressure compressed gas.
