Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate flow rate control with a simple construction by allowing a part of the fluid which is discharged from a pump to flow into the feeding port of a fluid coupling and controlling the flow rate by a manually operated valve, in a fluid coupling which transmits a rotational force from a motor to the pump. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 16 is driven, an impeller 18 and a casing 19 are driven through a rotary shaft 17. Subsequently, when an ON/OFF-valve 37 is opened, priming water is supplied to a water feeding port 24 through a pipe 36, and when the amount of charge increases, a runner 20 is revolved, and a pump 21 is driven. Then, the water in a water tank 28 is pumped-up through a suction pipe 29 and discharged from a discharge pipe 30, and a part of the water from the discharge pipe 30 is introduced into a water feeding pipe 31, and supplied into the water feeding port 24, passing through a constant flow-rate control valve 32. During this time, a manually operated valve 33 is kept in perfectly closed position, as the discharge pressure of the pump 21 is low on starting. When the pump 21 begins regular revolution, opening of the valve 33 is controlled, visually inspecting a pressure gauge 35 fitted in the discharge pipe 30, and thus the number of revolution of the pump 21 is controlled.
