To provide a fluid filter for an automatic transmission, having reduced cost by reducing the number of components, and being easy to assemble on a valve body independently of its material quality and shape while improving the reliability of a seal.
The fluid filter 1A comprises a case member 4 mounted on the valve body 2 having a fluid path to form a filtering chamber 3 between the valve body and itself, a filtering element 10 arranged in the filtering chamber and having a filtering material 11 and a resin supporting frame 12 supporting the filtering material at its outer peripheral edge, and a seal member 15 pressed against the surface on the upper end inner periphery side of a peripheral wall 6 of the case member, the surface on the upper end outer periphery side of the supporting frame, and the surface of the valve body.
