Abstract:
The high efficiency rapid electrical heating system utilises a tubular coil coupled to an electrical supply and is well suited to milk pasteurisation processing. The fluid is pumped, (5) through a coiled tube (1) to raise the temperature rapidly to 80 deg.C. To increase efficiency and utilise the energy of the system to give the best effect, the output of the coil is fed to a heat exchange (4) and then to output. The other input to the heat exchanger is coupled to the cold liquid from the pump. In this way the cold liquid is preheated and the processed liquid temp. lowered.
