Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a surge tank from the degradation in airtight holding performance irrespective of the motion of a pump means while miniaturizing and lightening a fluid pump.
CONSTITUTION: A frame 22 is provided which has a first chamber (upper chamber) having an air taking-in suction port, a second chamber (lower chamber) 37 having a discharge port 42 for discharging air compressed to high pressure and a partition wall 31a provided to partition both these chambers. While the first chamber 36 is provided with a pump means, the discharge part 75 of the pump means is connected to the second chamber 37 through a discharge pipe 25 so that the second chamber 37 provides a surge tank integral with the frame 22. Thus, the relative speed of the surge tank and discharge pipe 25 to the pump means producing vibration is respectively obviated so that vibrational load is not given to the connection part of the discharge pipe 25.
