Abstract:
To provide a fluid transmission device for a vehicle capable of suppressing discomfort in vehicle start due to the loss of hydraulic oil in the fluid transmission device for a vehicle.SOLUTION: A fluid transmission device for a vehicle comprises a connection device 60 that selectively switches between a connection state in which a pump wheel 26 and a turbine wheel 28 are mechanically connected and a non-connection state in which the pump wheel 26 and the turbine wheel 28 are not connected. Since the connection device 60 is switched to the connection state when hydraulic oil in a torque converter 10 is in a shortage state that it is equal to or less than a predetermined value, power can be transmitted by the torque converter 10, thereby suppressing the discomfort in vehicle start due to the loss of the hydraulic oil in the torque converter 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
