A torque convertor 1 can transmit power from a front cover 2 into a turbine hub 5 via a pump impeller 3 and a turbine runner 4. The torque convertor 1 is comprised of a lock-up clutch mechanism 8 to mechanically and directly connect the front cover 2 and the turbine hub 5, and a damper device 7 capable of absorbing the variation in torque transmitted from the front cover 2 into the turbine hub 5 at operating the lock-up clutch mechanism 8. The turbine hub 5 has an extension 51 extending outward in the radial diameter. A turbine shell 4a of the turbine runner 4 is secured to the extension 51 of the turbine hub 5 outside a main part of the damper device 7 such as spring retainers 71a and 72a, and a spring 73.
