Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rotating plate from being damaged especially when a great earthquake occurs for a device obtaining the vibration mitigation effect by causing rotational displacement of the rotating plate in accordance with variations in air pressure on the liquid level with the shaking of liquid stored in a tank when an earthquake occurs.
SOLUTION: An intermediate storage section 12 is provided to the midway point of ducts 14 linking between upper spaces of rising sections 18 integrally formed with a lower tank 16 storing the damping liquid 20 therein, at the same time, a rotating plate 22 is provided to the inside of the storage section 12, and while, relief valves 28-1 and 28-2 for exhausting the inside air to the outside or inhaling the outside air in comparison with regulated pressure are provided to the upper parts of the rising sections 18. By the constitution, with radical variations in the inside air pressure when a great earthquake occurs, the damage in the rotating plate 22 or rotary shaft 24 and a coil spring 26 with the rotating plate can be prevented.
