Abstract:
This apparatus comprises a horizontal furnace duct (20) which extends from a containment for a fluidised bed. The duct contains a baffle (64) which is positioned so that particles of bed material, which have passed beyond the downstream boundary (54) of the containment, strike and rebound from the baffle and return across the boundary.
