To provide a fluidized bed apparatus in which a functional treatment such as granulation can be surely performed and a filter member can be efficiently and surely cleaned.
The fluidized bed apparatus has a fluidized bed vessel 1 provided with: a treatment chamber 2 for treating a granular substance; and an exhaust chamber 4 which is positioned above the treatment chamber 2 and communicates with the treatment chamber 2 while interposing the filter member 3 between them. The fluidized bed apparatus is constituted such that the functional treatment such as granulation and coating is performed on the granular substance M while suspending/fluidizing the granular substance M by a gas A in the treatment chamber 2, and in a state of storing a cleaning liquid C in the treatment chamber 2-containing lower space of the fluidized bed vessel 1, the filter member 3 is lowered to a position where the filter member is immersed in the cleaning liquid C and the lowered filter member is cleaned. An ultrasonic vibrator 14 is arranged, which imparts ultrasonic vibration to the filter member 3 in a state that the filter member 3 is immersed in the cleaning liquid C when the filter member is cleaned and which is made to retract to the outside of a fluidized bed-formed area X of the granular substance M in the treatment chamber 2 when the functional treatment is performed.
