A fluidized bed drying apparatus comprises a drying container 5 with a rectangular internal space formed in a lengthwise direction, a cross direction and a height direction and a fluidized bed formed in the internal space by making fluid a brown coal input to the internal space by a fluidized gas, a brown coal input part 31 for inputting the brown coal from one end in the lengthwise direction of the drying container 5, and a first fuel dispersion part 43 for dispersing the brown coal input from the brown coal input part 31 in the lengthwise direction of the internal space of the drying container 5. The first fuel dispersion part 43 comprises a first rotating shaft 51 whose axial direction becomes the cross direction, a plurality of first dispersion wings 52 disposed in a peripheral direction of the first rotating shaft 51 with a predetermined gap, a first driving device 21 for rotating the first rotating shaft 51, and a control device 63 for changing a rotational frequency of the first rotating shaft 51 at a predetermined cycle.
