This fluidized bed drying system for fluidizing and drying brown coal 101 as the dried substance supplied to a fluidized bed drier 102 by supplying fluidizing steam 107 as a fluidizing gas to the fluidized bed drier 102, includes one or both of detecting means of a temperature meter 141 for detecting an internal temperature and a gas concentration meter 142 for detecting a concentration of an internal gas, disposed on a cooler 110 for cooling the dried brown coal (high temperature: 110°C) after drying, by cooling air 131, and a control means which detects defective cooling of the dried substance when the temperature information or the gas concentration information input by the detecting means is higher than a set value, and performs the control of adding an oxidation suppressing gas 132 to the cooling air 131 as a countermeasure to improve defective cooling.
