Abstract:

PURPOSE: To purify exhaust gas, eliminate the necessity of providing an exhaust gas purifying device separately and retrieve heat energy in the exhaust gas by providing a fluidized bed with the function of catalyst.

CONSTITUTION: The main body 1 of a heat exchanger is provided with a dispersing plate 1b, having a multitude of exhaust gas flowing ports 1a, at the bottom thereof while a fluidized bed 2, consisting of the particles of refractory having catalystic function, is received in the main body 1. Exhaust gas, flowing into the fluidized bed 2 of the main body 1, is contacted with the particles of refractory having catalystic function upon flowing through the fluidized bed 2 and poisonous substances in the exhaust gas are removed whereby the exhaust gas, purified by the fluidized bed 2, is discharged into atmosphere through an exhaust gas outflow port 1d opened at the upper part of the main body 1. Accordingly, the exhaust gas may be purified without employing any exhaust gas purifying device. On the other hand, cold water, flowing into water tubes 3, effects heat exchange between the fluidized bed 2 whereby heat energy in the exhaust gas may be retrieved in the state of hot-water or the vapor of water.
