Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluidized bed heating furnace for continuously heating a steel cable during forward linear travel of the steel cable, capable of preventing degradation in heating efficiency due to blow of air for forming a fluidized bed.SOLUTION: In a case of floating a sand layer 4 deposited on a hearth 3 to form a fluidized bed 7, a high temperature gas in a furnace 8 in place of conventional normal-temperature air is introduced to and pressurized in a heat-resistant blower 9 and supplied to a blast room 6 under the hearth 3. As the heat-resistant blower, a vehicular turbocharger is used to fulfill reverse rotation/reverse function. That is, the normal-temperature air is supplied to an impeller-side outlet of the charger to reversely rotate an impeller and a turbine. On the other hand, the high temperature gas in the furnace 8 is introduced to and pressurized at a turbine-side outlet of the charger and supplied from an inlet to a fluidized bed furnace blast room. Heating efficiency equal to or higher than a standard of an ordinary direct heating furnace is ensured. Use of an electric heater as a heating source facilitates an atmospheric control since no exhaust gas is emitted.
