To continuously and efficiently recover heat in a fluidized bed and to perform the flexible operation of a fluidized bed incinerator.
This fluidized bed incinerator comprises a partition 7 mounted in the fluidized layer where a fluid medium flows for defining a combustion chamber 10 for burning a burnt matter and a heat recovering chamber 12 for recovering the heat, and an air blow-off device 16 for blowing off the air 34 for fluidizing the fluid medium by every three areas of a lower part of the partition, the combustion chamber 10 and the heat recovering chamber 12. The combustion chamber 10 and the heat recovering chamber 12 are communicated with each other under the partition 7, the air blow-off device mounted under the partition 7 can adjust the blow-off of air 34, and pressure measuring units 25a, 25b are mounted at a height approximately equal to the height of a lower end 8 of the partition to detect the pressure of the fluidized bed.
