PURPOSE: To make a fluorescent lamp device substitutable for a three lamps circular fluorescent lamp luminaire by lighting all plural fluorescent lamps with a lamp current of 500 to 700mA and with a high frequency of 20kHz or more.
CONSTITUTION: A luminaire 1 is equipped with first circular fluorescent lamp 3 and second circular fluorescent lamp 4, and a hold member 6 electrically connects and mechanically holds a luminaire main body 5 and two lamps 3, 4 to each other. In a lower face of the main body 5 a recessed portion 7 into which the hold member 6 fits is formed, inside the same a high frequency lighting circuit is contained, and in the fitting portion 7 a socket to which the hold member 6 is electrically connected is formed. Where, in the lamp 3 its outside diameter is 24 to 28mm and its ring is 280 to 310mm, and in the lamp 4 its tube outside diameter is 24 to 28mm and its ring outside diameter is 350 to 385mm. Both lamps 3, 4 are lighted with a lamp current of 500 to 700mA and with a high frequency of 20kHz or more by the high frequency lighting circuit. Thereby, an input is made larger so that a light quantity is increased and a positive column rate is improved.
