To provide a fluorescent lamp luminaire whose lead connecting a ballast to a socket in the luminaire does not cause over-heating when the lead contacts an outer a wall of the ballast, and which is capable of miniaturizing the whose size thereof.
This fluorescent lamp luminaire is constructed such that in a length wise fluorescent lamp luminaire body 11 having an opening at its bottom, a ballast 13 is disposed whose upper wall and opposed side walls are brought into contact with the luminaire body 11, a lower wall of the fluorescent lamp luminaire body 11 is covered with a covering board, a ballast 13 is provided so as to a space in the vicinity of lower end of the fluorescent lamp luminaire body 11 under the condition where the ballast 13 is installed, and electric source terminal blocks 15 positioned at both longitudinal ends of the ballast 13 are connected to each other with a lead 16 by the use of the space.
