To provide a fluorescent lamp which not only can prevent or control a darkening phenomenon generated during starting up of the fluorescent lamp, but also can improve a service life and luminance of the fluorescent lamp by increasing a discharging ratio of secondary electron, and to provide a manufacturing method of the fluorescent lamp.
The manufacturing method of the fluorescent lamp includes (a) a first coating process in which a glass base material of which one or more side areas are open is coated with sol which is made of diffusion of a metal oxide precursor produced by a sol-gel reaction or with a phosphor slurry, (b) a second coating process in which the part of the glass base material which is not coated in the above first coating process is coated by with sol which is made of diffusion of a metal oxide precursor or with a phosphor slurry, (c) a forming process in which a coating membrane made by the above first and second steps is calcined to form a protective membrane and a phosphor membrane simultaneously, (d) a vacuum exhausting process in which gas in the glass base material is exhausted, and (e) a sealing process after filling gas.
