Title:
FLUORESCENT LAMP USING SMALL AMOUNT OF RARE EARTH ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013196885
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a fluorescent lamp having sufficiently high luminance as a fluorescent lamp and using a small amount of rare earth elements in comparison with a conventional fluorescent lamp.

This fluorescent lamp has a light-transmissive tubular envelope, a fluorescent screen disposed on the inner wall of the light-transmissive tubular envelope, and mercury and rare gas filled in the light-transmissive tubular envelope, and emits light from the light-transmissive tubular envelope by making the fluorescent screen emit light by ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 180 nm-380 nm which is radiated by discharge of the mercury. The fluorescent screen has at least three blue, green, and red phosphors, the green phosphor has at least Ce and Tb as an activator, and also has a peak having intensity of 10-30% at 300-400 nm as comparison with a main peak, and a phosphor emitting visible light with emission at 300 nm-400 nm used as an excitation source is used for the blue or red phosphor.
