Title:
FLUORESCENT LAMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63224140
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To secure emission of light provided with normal color temperature even though the ambient temperature drops by thermally fitting a self temperature control heating unit to the glass tube of a fluorescent lamp and utilizing the base of the fluorescent lamp part as the electrode terminal of the heating unit.

CONSTITUTION: A self temperature control heating unit 1 is formed in a rectangular structure in which an electrode (made of copper or copper alloy) 7 is laid on a insulation film (made of polyester, polyethylene etc.) 6, a resistance (made of mixture consisting of carbon and resin) 8 is further laid on the electrode 7 and finally an insulation film (made of polyester, polyethylene etc.) 10 is laid thereon. And lead wires 11 connected to both upper and lower electrodes 7, 9 are electrically connected to a base 3, the resistance 8 is supplied with electric power through the base 3 and generates heat. According to this contrivance, any fluorescent lamp unable to come on at a low ambient temperature can be also lighted to become capable of making a very beautiful display in combination liquid with crystals.
