Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which prevents deterioration of utilization efficiency of excitation light by condensing excitation light to a fluorescent element without using a lens, in a fluorescent light source device which includes a light-emitting element for radiating excitation light, a fluorescent element for emitting fluorescent light of the wavelength longer than that of the excitation light and a first optical system for condensing the excitation light to the fluorescent element and for extracting the fluorescent light.SOLUTION: A first optical system 3 comprises a first parabolic mirror 4 and a second parabolic mirror 5 in which front open end parts are oppositely arranged on the same optical axis, and a fluorescent element 6 is arranged so as to face a first opening 41 of the apex of the first parabolic mirror 4. From a second opening 51 of the apex of the second parabolic mirror 5, fluorescent light B from the fluorescent element 6 is extracted. The first parabolic mirror 4 transmits excitation light A and reflects the fluorescent light B, and the second parabolic mirror 5 reflects the excitation light A and the fluorescent light B. The excitation light A from a light-emitting element 2 is made incident parallel with the optical axis from the back surface of the first parabolic mirror 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
