Abstract:
To provide new fluorinated carbonates expected to serve as electrolytes used for electrochemical devices such as a lithium battery, a lithium ion battery and an electric double layer capacitor or additives to the electrolytes, intermediates for functional materials, pharmaceutical and pesticide intermediates, organic solvents, etc., and a new preparation method for efficiently obtaining the same in a high yield.
The new compound is (1-fluoroethyl)methylcarbonate. In the new preparation method of the fluorinated carbonates, chain carbonates are subjected to electrolytic fluorination in the presence of a compound containing fluoride ion.
