PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound having a new cell proliferation suppressing mechanism, promising as a carcinostatic agent, a carcinostatic and metastasis suppressing agent, etc., and capable of readily synthesizing.

CONSTITUTION: A compound is expressed by formula I [(m) is ≥2; (n) is 0-7, with the proviso that (m)>(n); R is an alkyl or a fluoroalkyl] e.g. O-(5- acetamide-3,5-dideoxy-D-glycero-α-D-galacto-2-nonyuropyranosylonic acid)-(2→3)- O-(β-D-galactopyranosyl)-(1→4)-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl) (1→1)-(2S,3R,4E)-10- perfluorooctyl-2-tetracosanamide-4-decene-1,3-diol. This compound is obtained by reacting, e.g. a compound of formula II with (2S,3R,4E)-2-azide-3- benzoyloxy-10-perfluorooctyl-4-decene-1-ol and then, successively reacting the resultant compound with hydrogen sulfide and tetracosanoic acid and then reacting the product with sodium methoxide and water.
