Abstract:
To obtain the subject new compound expressed by a specific formula, having the action of an acceptor and especially useful as a charge-transfer substance for electrophotographic receptor.
The objective compound is expressed by formula I {Z is O, C(CN)2 or C(CN)(COOR2) [R2 is a (substituted) alkyl or a (substituted) aryl]; R1 is a (substituted) alkylene, a (substituted) arylene or a (substituted) cycloalkylene; X is cyano, nitro, a halogen or a (substituted) alkyl; (m) is 0-4}. The compound can be produced e.g. by reacting a fluorene compound of formula II with a diol compound of formula III in the presence of an acid catalyst (e.g. acetic acid) or a basic catalyst (e.g. pyridine) e.g. at 0-100°C for about 1-10hr.
