Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound useful as a fluorine donative compound, in the case of formation of a product such as homopolymer, copolymer or carbon functional silane, capable of supplying the product with physical properties such as water repellency, water vapor resistance and adaptability to other fluorine-containing materials and improving the physical properties.
CONSTITUTION: Fluorine-containing allyl glycidyl ether shown by formula I. The compound is produced by reacting 1,1,1-trifluoro-2-trifluoromethyl-4-buten-2- ol shown by formula II with chloromethyloxysilane in the presence of a phase transfer catalyst composed of at least one onium salt selected from a quaternary ammonium salt and a quaternary phosphonium salt in a basic aqueous solution.
