Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I[A is a divalent group derived from benzene or azobenzene; X is vinylene (-CH=CH-) or oxy (-O-); k is 3-15; l is 1-6; m is 2-20; n is 1-20; p and q are O or 1.].

EXAMPLE: N-(cis-9-octadecenoyl)-O,O'-bis(1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyl)-L- glutamate.

USE: A compound having a two molecular membrane-formimg ability in an organic solvent.

PREPARATION: A glutamic acid fluoroalkyl ester of formula II [R1 is CF3-(CF2)k-(CH2)l-] is amidiqed with a compound of formula III [R2 is-(A- O)p-(CH2)m-(X)g-(CH2)n-CH3] according to the reaction equation to provide the compound of formula I.
