Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluorine-containing copolymer which can give coating film and cured film excellent in resistance to heat, whether, chemical and the like by copolymerizing a fluoro-olefin structure unit in a specific proportion.
SOLUTION: This copolymer comprises (A) 20-80mol% of one or more kinds of fluoro-olefin structures of formula I (X1 to X3 are each H, Cl, F, trifluoromethyl), (B) 0.5-50mol% of one or more kinds of structures of formula II [R is H, R1 is a 1-10C aliphatic alkyl, a 2-9C fluoroalkyl)] and (C) 0-70mol% of monomer structure copolymerizable with the component (A) and the component (B), and has a number-average molecular weight of 1,000-20,000. For example, a copolymer containing 90-98mol% of tetrafluoroethylene as a component (A) and 2-10mol% is isoprenol as a component (B) gives a tough film excellent in thermal resistance by firing it at an elevated temperature to cause cross- linking.
