To provide a novel fluorine-containing copolymer which is excellent in stain resistance and water and oil repellencies, excellent in resistance to chemicals, weatherability and the like inherent to a fluororesin, and excellent in compatibility with an acrylic resin, and also provide a fluororesin paint and varnish.
The fluorine-containing copolymer comprises, as polymerization units, 15 to 85 mole % of a fluoroolefin; 0.001 to 30 mole % of a specific type of reactive silicone oil of the following general formula (1) or (2) R1-[Si(CH3)2- O]nSi(CH3)2-R2 (1) [wherein R1 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, (CH2)r-OOC(CH3)C=CH2 or -CH=CH2; R2 represents -(CH2)r- OOC(CH3) or -CH=CH2; n is an integer of 1 to 420; and r is an integer of 1 to 6], or R2-Si[OSi(CH3)3]3 (2) (wherein R2 is same as defined above); and 1 to 50 mole % of at least one selected from an alkyl vinyl ether, an alkyl allyl ether, a metharylic ester and an acrylic ester.
